Wolfgang Grobe (born June 25, 1956 in Braunschweig ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Wolfgang Grobe was a member of Eintracht Braunschweig's Bundesliga squad from 1976 to 1982 . From 1976 to 1980 and 1981/82 he was a defender, in the year of the second division 1980/81 he was used as a midfielder. In his Bundesliga debut on November 13, 1976 (13th matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the away game against VfL Bochum , he scored his first goal with the opening goal in the 31st minute. After four years of membership in the Bundesliga, he was relegated with his club, and after a year of abstinence straight up again. After another season in the top flight (total of 127 games and 18 goals) he joined the season 1982/83 for FC Bayern Munich , in which his former teammate from Braunschweig Paul Breitner captain was.

Grobe was used in all league games at his new employer in the first season. He was part of the squad until 1986, but played his last league game on November 17, 1984 (14th matchday) in the 3-0 defeat in the away game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he was substituted for Ludwig Kögl in the second half .
