Wolfgang Herold

Wolfgang Herold (born October 24, 1961 ) is a German film producer and sound supervisor.

Life

Wolfgang Herold gained his first sound experience working for the American TV / radio station AFN and produced production music for his own music publisher. In 1988 he founded his own recording studio in Frankfurt am Main . While the focus was initially on advertising and music, the mix of feature films in the Herold Studios is now in the foreground. In 1993, Wolfgang Herold introduced the DAN Digital Audio Network System, a new form of production for recording studios that made voice recordings possible via ISDN .

In 2001 he founded the film production Herold Productions GmbH for the development, co-financing and co-production of international feature films. The productions include the Alone in the Dark filmed by Uwe Boll , Swords of the King - Dungeon Siege and Far Cry . In addition, Wolfgang Herold also works as a music supervisor and soundtrack producer. For his collaboration with the band Nightwish on the soundtrack of Alone in the Dark, he received both gold and platinum awards . Wolfgang Herold is a member of the German Film Academy eV
