Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz (* 1947 ) is a German industrial designer and managing director of the Meyer-Hayoz Design Engineering Group, which he founded .

Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with a degree in mechanical engineering , visual communication and industrial design . Professors Klaus Lehmann, Kurt Weidemann and Max Bense were formative for his current design philosophy .

Meyer-Hayoz Design Engineering Group

In 1985, Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz founded the Meyer-Hayoz Design Engineering Group with offices in Winterthur , Switzerland , and Konstanz , Germany . The company advises start-ups, small and medium-sized companies as well as world market leaders in the areas of design strategy, industrial design, user interface design, temporary architecture and communication design and has already received numerous international awards. Meyer-Hayoz Design Engineering Group's customers include A. the Gallus Group , VITA Zahnfabrik , B. Braun Melsungen or Ferag AG. The company focuses on the areas of medical design , the design of capital goods and develops comprehensive corporate design concepts.

Activities in associations and juries

From 1987 to 1993 Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz was President of the Swiss Design Association (SDA); he is a member of the Association of German Industrial Designers (VDID) and the Swiss Management Society (SMG) . He is co-founder of Swiss Marketing (Erfagruppe Winterthur). In addition to his work as a designer and consultant, Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz is a guest lecturer at the University of St. Gallen and has been a juror on international design committees (e.g. Red Dot Design Award) for many years. In addition to working on complex design processes in medical technology as well as machine and device design, he also moderates change management and turnaround projects in the field of design strategy and is involved in leadership culture, e.g. B. at Willauer + Partner, Institute for Leadership Culture as a co-founder and active partner.
