Volga-Kama cascade

The Volga-Kama Cascade is the name given to the hydropower plants or reservoirs of the Volga and its largest tributary, the Kama .

After the construction of the first dam at Ivankowo between 1933 and 1937, the cascade has been expanded to 12 large systems (and several smaller ones) with a total output of at least 12  GW .
