The world peace bell is a symbol for world peace .

history

A first world peace bell was erected at United Nations headquarters in New York City as a gift from the people of Japan in 1954 . Chiyoji Nakagawa, the creator of this bell, founded the World Peace Bell Association in 1982 , around 25 other bells in Japan and other countries were initiated as memorials.
