Wu Xueqian
Wu Xueqian ( Chinese 吴学谦 ; born December 19, 1921 in Shanghai ; † April 4, 2008 ) was Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China from 1982 to 1988 .
Life
Wu was born in Shanghai in 1921. In 1939 he joined the Chinese Communist Party .
From 1982 to 1988 he held the post of Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China. In addition, Wu was a member of the XIII from 1987 to 1992. Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China .
He died of an illness on April 4, 2008 at the age of 86.
