Yanarico is a scattered settlement in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
location
Yanarico is the largest town in the canton of Pillapi San Agustín in the municipality of Tiahuanacu in the province of Ingavi . The village is located at an altitude of 3850 m ten kilometers east of the Gulf of Taraco , a bay in the southern part of Lake Titicaca . It consists of the two areas Zona Guaquería and Zona Challacollo .

Yanarico is located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andean mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
The mean average temperature in the area of Lake Titicaca is 10 ° C, the annual precipitation is about 600 mm (see Juliaca climate diagram).
