Yaowapa Boorapolchai ( Thai เยาว ภา บุรพ ล ชัย ; * September 6, 1984 ) is a former Thai Taekwondoin .

Career

Yaowapa won silver in the weight class up to 51 kilograms at the Asian Games in Busan in 2002, and in 2006 she secured bronze in the weight class up to 47 kilograms in Doha . In 2006 she was also Asian champion in the same class in Bangkok . At world championships Yaowapa won bronze (up to 51 kilograms) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2003 and silver (up to 47 kilograms) in Beijing in 2007 . In the 2007 final, she lost to Wu Jingyu . Between 2003 and 2007 she won two silver medals and one bronze medal at Universiaden . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , she failed after an opening win in the first round to Yanelis Labrada in the quarter-finals. After two victories in the round of hope, Yaowapa received the bronze medal in the weight class up to 49 kilograms.
