Yasin Çakmak (born January 6, 1985 in Rize ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Yasin Çakmak started his career at Çaykur Rizespor . He plays as a central defender at Fenerbahçe Istanbul and was accepted into the Turkish national soccer team. He played his first international match against the Azerbaijani national soccer team in 2006. The coach of the Turkish national team, Fatih Terim nominated him for qualifications for the 2008 European soccer championship . On October 2, 2007 he played his first Champions League game against CSKA Moscow when he came on for Edu Dracena in the 72nd minute . In June 2009, his move to Sivasspor was announced as part of Bilica's transfer to Fenerbahce.

For the 2010/11 season he moved to the first division club Denizlispor and stayed here until the end of 2012. In January 2013 he reached an agreement with Giresunspor . With this club he reached the third division championship on the last match day of the 2013/14 season and thus promotion to the TFF 1. Lig. With his contract end, he left Giresunspor in the summer of 2014.
