Yazmeen Acikgoez-Baker

Yazmeen Acikgoez-Baker (born April 27, 1979 in Göttingen ) is a German actress .

Life

Yazmeen Acikgoez-Baker grew up in Lower Saxony. She studied acting at the Alanus University for Art and Society in Alfter near Bonn. At the end of her studies she staged her own play Kassandra based on the story by Christa Wolf . She lived in Auckland for a few years , where she worked as an actress and continued her education. She participated in several Australian and New Zealand productions as well as productions from the USA and India. In 2006 she played a supporting role in the US series Power Rangers Jungle Fury .

Since 2006 she played roles in several short films. She also directed the short film Ghosthunter (2011) together with Nils Daub . In 2008 she played the role of Tara in the film Love Has No Language of Ken Khan . In 2011 she was the spokesperson for the episode Ehrbare Töchter of the radio Tatort of the WDR .

Yazmeen Acikgoez-Baker also plays in the theater. In 2011 she appeared in the Bonn Theater and Konstanz Theater in Kasimir and Karoline von Ödön von Horváth under the direction of René Harder .

In 2012 she had a guest role in Alarm for Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei . In Seasons 5 and 6 of Die Schulermittler she embodied the role of the school social worker Selma Jung. In 2014 she took on a leading role in the film Ultimate Justice alongside Mark Dacascos . From September 2016 she will play the role of Ateş in the Turkish television series Kertenkele . In 2016, Baker played the female lead in the short film The Wall .
