history

The hut was originally built as a hunting lodge, leased from the Ybbstaler Section in 1920/21 and subsequently rebuilt. It was not until 1925 that summer cultivation took place, and year-round operation from 1933. In 1950 the Ybbstaler section became part of the “Alpenverein Austria” of the PES, which also took over the hut. In 1987 the hut was completely renovated; in May 1989 it could be reopened.
