Yonathan Jesús Fernández García (born April 14, 1986 ) is a Chilean biathlete and cross-country skier .

Yonathan Fernández started in August 2010 at the Biathlon South American Championships in Portillo and Bariloche . In the championship, which was held as a racing series, Fernández was sixth in Portillo in all three races, an individual, a sprint race and a mass start. Like all Chileans, he did not compete in the races in Argentina because of an earthquake in their homeland. In the overall standings, which only included three races, he finished eighth. In 2010 he also started in the IBU Cup for the first time . In his first race in Altenberg , he came 122nd in a sprint. The best result in the racing series so far is a 114th place, achieved in a sprint in Nové Město na Moravě . Since 2013 he has been participating in FIS races and the Continental Cup races in cross-country skiing . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he finished 84th in the sprint in cross-country skiing. He achieved his best placement in the Continental Cup in February 2015 at the Balkan Cup in Zlatibor with eighth place over 5 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , he came 106th in the sprint.
