You Stupid Man (alternatively: Love Birds, Love Birds - love at second sight) is a comedy American-German production by Brian Burns from 2002 .

Owen ( David Krumholtz ) and Chloe ( Denise Richards ) are a dream couple from New York, until Chloe is offered a role in a daily soap that is shot in Los Angeles. When Owen visits Chloe unexpectedly, he catches her red-handed having sex with her fellow actor.
In order to set up the injured Owen, his mutual friends Jack and Diane introduce him to Nadine ( Milla Jovovich ). The first date is disastrous and the second meeting ends quite disappointingly for both of them. Over time, however, the two become friends and a close friendship develops, in which both help each other over their disappointed relationships.
At Owen's birthday party, there is a spark between Owen and Nadine. The morning after, Owen gets a surprising phone call from Chloe, whereupon the two of them meet and dare to start over.
After a few days, Owen realizes that he has found his true love in Nadine, which however, lets him down. Only when Owen plays all of the messages she left behind on his dictation machine, on which he saves all the important messages on his answering machine, can Nadine forgive him. In the end credits, Owen and Nadine accompany their friends Jack and Diane as groomsmen when they renew their vows for the second time and decide in front of the altar to also get married.

- Christopher Null was very critical of the film on Filmcritic.com. He wrote that the similar comedy The Wedding Crashers was better. Milla Jovovich seems expressionless; she and David Krumholtz would not go together.
