William Baldwin
William Joseph Baldwin (born February 21, 1963 in Massapequa on Long Island , New York ) is an American actor .
Life
William Baldwin is one of the four Baldwin brothers , along with Alec , Daniel and Stephen . He has been in the film business since 1989. Before that he worked as a model . After making his debut in 1989 in The Preppie Murder , Oliver Stone signed him for a supporting role in Born on July 4th . He played several leading roles alongside top stars.
Baldwin holds a degree in Political Science from New York University (NYU). In recent years he has appeared increasingly in television series.
William Baldwin has been married to Chynna Phillips , daughter of the singers and musicians John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas and the Papas , since 1995 . They have three children together. Chynna Phillips became known as the singer of the Wilson Phillips trio .
Awards
Baldwin won an MTV Movie Award (USA) in 1994 for his role in the film Sliver . For the same role he was also nominated for a Golden Raspberry as worst actor. In 1996 he was nominated for two Golden Raspberries for his role in the film Fair Game , as the worst actor and - together with his film partner Cindy Crawford - as the worst screen couple . In 2005 he received a Gotham Award with the cast of the film The Squid and the Whale .
