Young European Research Universities Network

The Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN) is a university alliance that (currently) connects 18 young research-oriented universities from 12 EU countries. The network aims at a strategic collaboration between young universities in order to influence future educational policy. The initiative also aims to increase the mobility of students, researchers and administrative staff between the member institutions.

history

It was founded in Dublin on April 30, 2015. The office in Brussels is used to influence decisions by the European Commission .

organization

The network is led by the assembly of the rectors, vice chancellors or respective presidents of the universities. The assembly elects a board of directors that includes a president and a secretary. The current president is Juan Romo ( Carlos III University ).
