YoungBoy Never Broke Again (real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden ; born October 20, 1999 in Baton Rouge , Louisiana ), formerly NBA YoungBoy , is an American rapper and songwriter .
biography
At the age of 16 Gaulden released his first mixtape, at that time still under the name NBA YoungBoy . The tapes Mind of a Manace, Vol. 1 - 3 followed at short intervals . He quickly made a name for himself and features by Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates were featured on the next release 38 Baby . He was arrested at the end of the year on charges of attempted murder. His career came to a standstill for half a year. After his release, the mixtape AI YoungBoy was released , with which he entered the US album charts at number 24 . The included song No Smoke also made it into the charts and even reached platinum status . The mixtape Fed Baby’s together with Moneybagg Yo came a little later at number 21, two other publications reached lower chart positions.
In early 2018, the song Outside Today was released as a pre-single for his debut album , with which he also made it into the Top 40 in the Hot 100 for the first time. In April he released his first album Until Death Call My Name with contributions from Future , Lil Baby and Birdman . It reached number 7 in the first week of the chart.
