Yucca arkansana subsp. freemanii grows solitary or forms small groups. The variable, green, soft leaves are 15 to 60 cm long and 1 to 3 cm wide. It forms fibers on the leaf margins.
The branched inflorescence that begins above the leaves is 1 to 1.8 meters high. The pendulous, bell-shaped, spherical, white to cream-colored flowers are 3 to 3.8 cm in length and 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter. The hairless inflorescence is typical, while the subspecies Yucca arkansana subsp. louisianensis forms a hairy inflorescence. The flowering time is in June.
