Yupampa Valencia is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Yupampa Valencia is the fifth largest town in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Mecapaca in the province of Murillo and is located at an altitude of 2880  m on the right bank of the Río de la Paz , which comes from the capital La Paz past the Illimani in a northeastern direction to the Río Beni flows there.

Yupampa Valencia is located on the eastern slopes of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central at the transition to the Bolivian lowlands. From La Paz a country road leads in a southerly direction past the Valle de la Luna (moon valley) and the town of Mallasa on the left side of the Río de la Paz to Mecapaca . Two kilometers before Macapaca, a side road turns southwest, crosses the river bed of the Río de La Paz and after another two kilometers reaches Yupampa Valencia .
