Yves Rénier (born September 29, 1942 in Bern , Switzerland , † April 23, 2021 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French actor .
life and work
Yves Rénier became known as Commissioner Moulin , whom he played from 1976 to 2006 in the television series of the same name. He made his debut in 1961 in The Count of Monte Christo as Albert de Morcerf. Since that role he often played the beautiful seducer with brutal charm.
At the age of twenty, Yves Rénier made the hearts of the elderly women Michèle Morgan and Danielle Darrieux beat faster as Christian in André Hunebelle's Caution, Ladies (1962) in competition with the fraudster Paul Meurisse . He is known to German-speaking audiences through the French television series Die Globetrotter (Les Globe-Trotters) , in which he played alongside Edward Meeks .
In 1965, he played André Bellegarde alongside Christine Delaroche in the mini-series Belphégor or The Secret of the Louvre . In 1967, Pierre Granier-Deferre gave him a leading role alongside Jacques Perrin and Eva Renzi in The Time of Cherries is Over . After his debut as Inspector Moulin , he was repeatedly in films such as Diane Kurys ' Die kleine Pariserinnen (1977), Roman Polańskis Frantic (1988), Jean-Marie Poiré's The Guardian Angels (1995), In My Father's Footsteps (1999) or 2001 in the French theatrical version of Absolument Fabuleux alongside Nathalie Baye and Josiane Balasko as Alain, and also in series, for example in 2005 in Dolmen - The Sacrilege of the Stones .
When he took part in the Dakar Rally in 1980 , he took 17th place in the automobile classification on a Toyota Land Cruiser BJ .
He died of a heart attack in his home in April 2021, aged 78 .
