Yvonne Nauta (born February 21, 1991 in Uitwellingerga ) is a Dutch speed skater .

Career

Nauta had her first international successes at the 2009 Junior World Championships in Zakopane . There she won the silver medal in the mini four-way battle and over 1500 m and the gold medal over 3000 m and in the team pursuit. The following year she won the silver medal over 3000 m and the gold medal in the team pursuit at the Junior World Championships in Moscow . In February 2011, she started the World Cup in Salt Lake City for the first time and took 12th place over 5000 m in the B group. In the 2013/14 season she achieved third place in the overall World Cup over 3000/5000 m with four top ten placements. With third place over 5000 m in Astana , third place over 3000 m in Inzell and second place over 3000 m in Heerenveen, she achieved her first podium positions in the World Cup. In addition, she became Dutch champion over 5000 m and in the small four-way battle in the 2013/14 season. In January 2014 she won the silver medal at the all- around European championship in Hamar and in March 2014 the bronze medal at the all- around world championship in Heerenveen. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she was sixth over 5000 m. In the 2016/17 season she finished fourth at the 2017 European all- around championships in Heerenveen and fifth over 3000 m at the 2017 World Single Distance Championships in Gangwon .
