Yvonne Rüger-Krömker (* 16 July 1976 in Bad Oeynhausen as Yvonne Krömker ) is a former German triathlete and Ironman champion (2004).

Career

In 1993 Yvonne Krömker started her first triathlon in Exter.

Winner Ironman Switzerland 2004

In 2004 she won the long-distance Ironman in Zurich (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running), had to undergo an operation in 2005 after knee problems and had to take a break from sport for a few years. Rüger-Krömker has been working in the field of sports medicine as a research assistant at the University Hospital Tübingen since 2005 .

She was trained by Ralf Ebli and after a four year break she started again in triathlon competitions in the middle and long distance.

In 2011 she took a break after the birth of her daughter. She lives in Munich with her husband and daughter .
