Yvonne Romain (* 17th February 1938 in London as Yvonne Warren ) is a British actress and a photo model . She played in films like The Curse of Siniestro , The Whip or Sheila .

life and career

Yvonne Romain was born in London in 1938 as Yvonne Warren. The black-haired former model owes her exotic, dark appearance to her Maltese descent. Romain was a graduate of the Italia School of Acting, and from the age of twelve she was already appearing in children's and talent shows. When she was 18, she made her screen debut as the Italian girl in Jay Lewis' comedy The Baby on the Battleship , starring John Mills and Richard Attenborough .

In British horror films such as Corridors of Blood or The Red Shadow , she only played minor supporting roles. Romain's breakthrough as a leading actress came in 1961 with Terence Fisher's film drama The Curse of Siniestro at the side of Oliver Reed . In the same year she starred alongside Herbert Lom and Sean Connery in the crime film The Whip by director John Lemont .

Then you saw Yvonne Romain in 1962 in Peter Graham Scott's The Gang of Captain Clegg and in 1964 in Jim O'Connolly's crime thriller Rauchwaden as a partner of Peter Vaughan .
