Yvonne Vermaak (born December 18, 1956 in Port Elizabeth , South Africa ) is a former South African tennis player .

Career

Yvonne Vermaak was able to win a total of seven tournaments on the WTA Tour in the course of her career , three of them in singles and four in doubles. She was also able to reach five other finals (1 in singles, 4 in doubles). At Grand Slam tournaments, her greatest successes were reaching a semi-final in singles and doubles ( Wimbledon 1983 and French Open 1982 ). Vermaak's best placements were 20th and 65th in the tennis world rankings .
