yvp music
yvp music is an independent German record company founded by the publisher and music producer York von Prittwitz and Gaffron in 1984.
The label yvp , which started its work in 1985, focuses on jazz from Europe, with an emphasis on the Italian scene. There are musicians like Enrico Pieranunzi , Carlo Actis Dato , Tiziana Ghiglioni , Franco D'Andrea , Cristina Zavalloni , Guido DiLeono , Tony Pancella , Stefano Sabatini or Romano Mussolini alongside Joe Kienemann , Gijs Hendriks , Imre Köszegi , Rick Hollander , Klaus Wagenleiter , Martin Schrack , Hans-Peter Salentin , Jo Mikovich , Annette Neuffer , Jochen Baldes and Rainer Pusch under contract. Younger musicians such as Manfred Billmann, Katja Mair or David Helbock are also given the opportunity to present themselves.
The ART-PUR label, reserved for contemporary jazz, with musicians such as Daniel Studer or Hubert Winter / Michael Wollny and the DEMON label, which presents Easy Listening productions, are further sub-labels . Yvp music also sells the Italian label Splasc (h) in Germany. A total of 750 productions are sold by yvp music , including around 180 in-house productions.
