Zach Woods (born September 25, 1984 in Virginia Beach , Virginia ) is an American actor and comedian .

life and career

Woods grew up in Yardley , Pennsylvania , where he graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2003 . In 2010 he played handing Lewis in the NBC - sitcom The Office . In late 2011 he played in the third season of Bored to Death . Since 2014 he has played roles in the HBO series Silicon Valley and in the USA Network comedy series Playing House .

At 16, Woods first appeared as an improvisational artist at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and became part of the improvisational sketch troupe The Stepfathers , which also included Bobby Moynihan and Chris Gethard . He later taught improvisation at Columbia University , Duke University, and Lincoln Center .

Woods has also starred in a number of films, including Kabinett Out of Control and The Somewhat Different Cops . He had furthermore also made an appearance in the College Humor -Kurzfilm Adam and Eve in the Friends Zone . In 2010 he played a zombie in a starburst candy commercial.

He is also the protagonist Awkward Boy in the YouTube video series The Most Awkward Boy in the World .
