Zafer Çevik (born January 20, 1984 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
Çevik began with club football in the youth of the amateur club Narlıdere Belediyespor and came in 2001 to the youth of the traditional club Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Just two months after his move, he received a professional contract with Fenerbahçe, but played three seasons exclusively for the reserve team.
In the summer of 2004 he was given to the fourth division club Bakırköyspor and played here almost continuously as a regular for the following two seasons.
After these two seasons with Bakırköyspor Gebzespor hired , stayed here for half a season and then moved on to Kartalspor . Here he experienced at the end of the 2006/07 season with Kartalspor the runner-up in the TFF 2nd Lig and thus promotion to the Süper Lig .
At Kartalspor he played a total of two seasons. During this time, several teams at the Süper Lig became aware of him. So he moved to the second half of the 2008/09 season for the first division club Denizlispor . Here he only stayed until the end of the season and during this time he was mostly on the bench.
For the 2009/10 season he was hired by the new second division club Bucaspor and achieved promotion to the Süper Lig with this team through the runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig . In the Süper Lig, Çevik lost his regular place and only played sporadically. After his club returned to the TFF 1st Lig after just one season, he regained a regular place and even rose to become team captain.
In January 2016, he moved to Kayseri Erciyesspor .
