action
Derek Thompson is a professional ice hockey player. However, his best times are behind him: Most of the time he sits on the bench and when he is let out on the field, it is more like a kind of mascot. Because Derek likes to knock a tooth out of his opponents - that's why he really earned his nickname “Tooth Fairy”. But he still doesn't believe in the tooth fairy - and when he tries to impose this truth on his friend Carly's little daughter, he promptly collects the bill: under his pillow he finds a summons to the fairy kingdom. As a punishment for his willful destruction of childish imaginations, the chief fairy Lily sentenced him to two weeks of detention: as a tooth fairy, of course.
criticism
The criticism from many Internet portals seems to be mediocre to bad, wrote the Internet portal filmstarts.de, “And at the end? You go out of the cinema and get annoyed by this poor performance. "
It is also criticized that the team of authors consists of five members, and that Michael Lembeck tries almost intrusively to convey the message "Believe in you!"
Others
The budget for this film was $ 48 million. The gross profit worldwide was around 112 million US dollars.
continuation
In 2012, Zahnfee auf Probation 2, a sequel, was produced directly for the DVD market. Larry the Cable Guy took on the leading role .
