Michal Baka (born August 25, 1988 ) is a Slovak biathlete .

Michal Baka lives in Valaská . He ran his first international championship in Martell as part of the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2007 and finished 69th in the individual, 24th in the sprint, 26th in the pursuit race and nine in the relay. This was followed by the debut in the junior biathlon European Cup in Nové Město na Moravě . The winter season ended with the 2007 Biathlon European Championships for Juniors in Bansko , where Baka was 43rd in the individual, 26th in the sprint, 28th in the pursuit and eighth in the relay. The third major event of the year was the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2007 , in which the Slovakian in Otepää was 39th in the sprint and fifth in the relay in the cross-country disciplines, and 26th in the sprint and 30th in the pursuit in the roller ski races. In 2008 he again took part in the Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding , where he finished 74th in the individual, 69th in the sprint and 12th with the Slovak relay. This was followed by Baka's participation in the 2008 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute-Maurienne , where he was again used in both sub-disciplines. In cross he came in 21st in the sprint and 22nd in the pursuit, on roller skis came 18 in the sprint, 20 in the pursuit and came sixth in the Slovak mixed relay. In Canmore Baka launched in 2009 for a third time at the Junior World Championships. At the competitions in Canada, the Slovak was 55th in the individual, 53rd in the sprint, 49th in the pursuit and 13th in the relay. This was followed by participation in the 2009 European Biathlon Championships in Ufa . In the individual races, Baka was used in the juniors. In the individual he came in 16th, in the sprint in 28th and in the pursuit of 25th. For the relay race he was appointed to the men.

In 2009 Baka made his debut in the men's performance category. He contested his first international race as part of the IBU Cup in Nové Město na Moravě . In his first individual, he ran to 56th place in a sprint. The best result in the racing series so far is a 50th place in a sprint by Osrblie . His first race at an international championship he contested at the European Championship 2009, where he was eighth in the relay race with Dušan Šimočko , Martin Otčenáš and Matej Kazár .
