The Zancona is a 17 km long river ( Torrente ) in the Tuscany region of Italy, which crosses the province of Grosseto from south to north and flows north of Montegiovi as a left tributary into the duck .

course

The river has its source just northeast of Mount Labbro in the municipality of Arcidosso . Here it flows between the districts of Le Macchie (750 m) and Zancona (775 m), west of the main town to the north. Below and just west of Montelaterone (district of Arcidosso) it becomes the border river to Monticello Amiata (district of Cinigiano ). In Arcidosso the Zancona spends 12 km, in Cinigiano 2 km. West of Montegiovi (belongs to Castel del Piano) it enters the municipality of Castel del Piano , where after 3 km near the Podere Rogaggio it flows into the duck as a left tributary . He briefly touches the municipality of Seggiano .
