The Zastava Skala is a Fiat 128- based passenger car from the Yugoslav and Serbian automobile manufacturer Zastava , which came onto the market in 1971. The vehicle was manufactured in two body variants : on the one hand as the notchback variant Zastava 128 , whose body corresponded to the design of the Fiat 128, and on the other hand as the hatchback variant Zastava 101 . The latter design proved to be very successful and was manufactured in the Zastava plant in Kragujevac until 2008 .

Numerous other model names have been used over the years. Among other things z. B. 101 GTL or scale , followed by the number of horsepower, or Yugo 311 , Yugo 411 and Yugo 513 , where the first digit refers to the number of doors and the last two represent the displacement divided by 100. In Yugoslavia, the vehicle was also colloquially called Stojadin (a first name that sounds like “Sto jedan”, Serbo-Croatian for “101”).

In 2008 the production of the Zastava Skala was stopped after 1,273,532 copies were made.

Compared to the Fiat 128, the Zastava Skala had fewer basic equipment and poorer build quality, so that Fiat abandoned the original plan to outsource the entire production of the 128 to Kragujevac.
