Zbigniew Dmitroca (born February 28, 1962 in Niewirków near Zamość ) is a Polish poet, fairy tale poet, translator, satirist and playwright.

biography

Dmitroca graduated from high school in Zamość and studied Polish language and literature in Lublin, Poznan and Wroclaw . He made his debut in 1980 in the literary magazine "Odra". From 1991–1999 he worked on the children's program "Jasiek" for Radio Lublin. He worked for various magazines and literary journals such as "Przekrój", "Europa", "Kresy" and radio " Dwójka ". Publications and a. in “Czas Kultury”, “Literatura”, “ Literatura na Świecie ”, “Odra” and “Więź”. Dmitroca translated a. a. Poems by Anna Akhmatova , Alexander Blok , Joseph Brodski , Wladislaw Chodassewitsch , Marina Tsvetaeva , Nikolai Gumiljow , Sergej Jessenin , Anastasiya Kuzmina , Ossip Mandelstam and Vladimir Vysotsky .

Dmitroca's poetry was translated into German by Tom Pohlmann and Dieter Kalka and published in the Ostragehege and in the anthology It's time to change clothes . He took part in the German-Polish poetry festival in Leipzig in 1995 and in Lublin in 1997.
