The colliery old man is a former coal mine in Bochum district Weitmar . The mine was in operation for over 100 years. The mine field of the mine formed the construction field of the Zeche Prinz Regent in the second half of the 19th century with two further mine fields .
history
The mining in Rohen Siepen took place long before 1750 . In addition to the Alte Mann colliery, the Bonifacius and Backwinkler Erbstolln collieries were also located in this area . Years later, those entitled to it were divided into Alte Mann-Oberwerk and Alte Mann-Unterwerk . Alte Mann substation was located about 500 meters south of the Prinz Regent colliery , between the streets Kellermannsweg - Marktstraße - Am Steinknapp. Alte Mann-Oberwerk was located about 1000 meters south of the Prinz Regent colliery. Both tunnel operations were shut down around 1750. From 1758 the mine went back into operation for a few years. The years 1758, 1759, 1761 and 1762 are proven. In 1766 a new guess was made under the name of Alte Mann. In the same year , an application was made to the mining authorities to create a new deepest tunnel . The deepest tunnel was probably built in 1767, which can be deduced from the information from 1811. The tunnel mouth hole was located about 2.3 kilometers north of the Alte Mann-Oberwerk construction site in the Marbach valley near the former Bochum main station. Since the distance to the muted seams was too far, the tunnel long time is not ascended Service.
A year later, in 1768, a length field in the area of the upper work was measured. The Längenfeld was in operation from 1769. In 1774 a length field in the area of the substation was measured. From 1776 the broken old man substation (deep tunnel) was rebuilt. A year later, mining in the gallery was resumed. Since a shaft to the deep tunnel had been sunk without the approval of the mining authority, the owners of the mine were punished by the mining authority. In addition, the mine was closed in 1785. The reason for this was that there was enough coal in the area. In 1789, the owners applied to the mining authority to reopen the deep tunnel, but the authority rejected this application. The mining authority stated that the reasons for rejecting the application were that the person entitled was not clearly recognizable and that there was no award . From 1844, the mine was set deadlines , the solution and the extraction of the coal was carried out by the St. Mathias Erbstollen. In 1847 the Alte Mann-Oberwerk and Alte Mann-Unterwerk were consolidated into Vereinigte Altemann.
United old man
The United Altemann mine, which resulted from the consolidation of the Alte Mann-Oberwerk and the Alte Mann-Unterwerk, was set in terms of time limits in 1847. In 1861 the Geviertfelder Alte Mann I and Alte Mann II were awarded, the total size was 1.5 km 2 . A year later, the rightful owners were consolidated into Altemann, including the conjectures Emanuel and Vigola . In 1867 the construction of a civil engineering was planned, but there is no indication of the implementation. Two years later, in 1869, it was consolidated into the Prinz Regent colliery.
