The Mirbank colliery in Hattingen -Niederstüter is a former hard coal mine . The mine was also known under the names Zeche Mihrbank , Zeche Mierbanck and Zeche Mirrbank . The mine was a tunnel mine , the tunnel was located in the area of today's Hackstückstrasse. In 1960 the mine field of the mine was square meters.
Mining history
The mine was already mentioned in the documents in 1704 , but the mine was not yet enfeoffed . Farmer Mihr was entered in the documents as the main trades. Farmer Mihr appeared without a consort. In the years 1754 and 1755 the mine was in time limits . The reason for the deadline was stated in the mining authority's documents :
" The colliery is not passable "

In 1775 the mine was mentioned again in the documents, it is not clear from the documents whether the mine was in operation. On July 16 of 1784 the mine was by the then head of the Bureau of Mines, the Baron von Stein traveled . The Mirbank colliery was one of 63 mines that vom Stein used on his journey through the Brandenburg mountain area. At that time, two miners were working on the mine. It was a tusker and a cart runner . The mine tunnel had been driven to the west . There was a shaft with a depth of 37 meters. Vom Stein provided information about the condition and efficiency of the mine in his protocol. He noted that the mine had negligible sales. Vom Stein was of the opinion that it would be better to unite the Mirbank colliery with other mines in the area. The Mirbank colliery was taken out of service before 1796.
