Zie Diabaté (born March 2, 1989 in Pody ) is an Ivorian football player . He has been under contract with Chamois Niort in the French Ligue 2 since August 2017 .

Career

Diabaté began his career in the youth team of the Ivorian clubs IFER and Kabby Sport Bongouanou.

In 2008 the young defender moved to Romania for Dinamo Bucharest . He made his Dinamo debut on April 23, 2008 against Universitatea Craiova , when he came on in the 46th minute for the Serbian Nino Pekarić . The game ended 4-4. At the end of this first season , the club was fourth in the league. In 2008/09 he already made eight appearances, with the club finishing third.

In the 2009/10 season Diabaté played for the first time at European club level. He made his debut in the Europa League on September 17, 2009 against the Austrian representative SK Sturm Graz . The Ivorian played through and saw a 1-0 win in Graz . In the second half of the 2010/11 season he became a regular in coach Ioan Andone's team . On January 15, 2012 he signed with the French Ligue 1 club FCO Dijon .

In early 2013, Diabaté was loaned to Standard Liège in the Belgian Pro League for six months . A six-month loan deal with KAA Gent followed in early 2014 . After his return he only came to Dijon for one more assignment. He left the club in the summer of 2015 and joined AC Ajaccio . In Ajaccio he became a regular again and secured himself with his team to stay in the class . In the summer of 2016 he moved to league competitor Olympique Nîmes and in 2017 to Chamois Niort .
