Zinder V is one of the five arrondissements of the city of Zinder in Niger .

Zinder V is in the south of the city. It borders the Zinder I arrondissement in the north . The neighboring rural communities are Kolléram in the east, Gouna in the southeast, Dogo in the south and Droum in the west.

The arrondissement is divided into several rural villages and hamlets .

The administrative unit goes back to the canton Babantapki, the area of ​​which was largely incorporated into the municipality ( commune urbaine ) Zinder V in 2002 , when the city of Zinder was converted into a community of five municipalities ( communauté urbaine ). In 2010 the five arrondissements emerged from the municipalities of Zinders.

At the 2012 census, Zinder V had 32,423 residents who lived in 5516 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 17,929 in 3,227 households. At the 1988 census, the population of the Babantapki canton was 27,093 in 4,824 households.
