	District Zirkel, in the middle the head office of MTM Power GmbH (formerly Meßtechnik Mellenbach), below the former train station. From the right (northeast) the Finkenbach flows into the Schwarza, from which the district got its name.

Circles is a district of Melle-Glasbach in the rural community of city Schwarzatal in Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in Thuringia .

The district of Zirkel is located in the Thuringian Forest on the country roads 1144 and 1112 from Mellenbach-Glasbach to Herschdorf , which rise up in the valley . To the right and left of the road on the steep slopes of the Schwarzatal is spruce forest.

history

The district was first mentioned in a document in 1465. Until 1918 the place belonged to the sovereignty of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .
