Zizishausen is a district of the large district town of Nürtingen in the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg .

geography

Zizishausen is to the left and right of the Neckar and borders directly to the north of the city center of Nürtingen.

Neighboring towns of Zizishausen are Unterensingen in the north, Oberboihingen in the northeast , Nürtingen in the south-west and the Nürtingen- Oberensingen district in the west .

Finds from the Neolithic Age were made in the area around the town .

A moat and rampart can still be seen from a local castle. Zizishausen was first mentioned in a document in 1296. With this certificate, the noble Straif and Ernst zu Winberg von Metzingen leave all possessions in Zutzishusen to the Salem monastery .

The high authority fell with the Urach portion of Nürtingen in the course of the 14th century to the county of Württemberg .

On July 1, 1974, Zizishausen was incorporated into the city of Nürtingen.

At the beginning of the 16th century about 70 people lived in the hamlet of Zizishausen (1598 twelve citizens and one widow, different counting method), after the Thirty Years War in 1654 only 26. The number rose again only slowly (1725: 126, 1773: 230 , 1805: 303).

Kinderhaus Kleine Insel
  • In Zizishausen there is a town hall, which is the seat of the local administrative office. The town hall also houses the meeting point for young and old (generation meeting point “Z”).
  • In the school and sports center Insel you will find the elementary and secondary school, the multi-purpose hall ( Inselhalle ), the indoor swimming pool ( Inselbad ), a lawn sports field and a kindergarten ( Kinderhaus Kleine Insel ). The secondary school students from grade 5 attend the secondary school in Oberboihingen.
  • The place has a total of two kindergartens.
