Location of Reudern in Nürtingen

Reudern is a district of the large district town of Nürtingen in the Esslingen district ( Baden-Württemberg ).

Geographical location

Reudern is mainly surrounded by forests in the north, east and south. In the west it borders on fields and (orchard) meadows. The village is at 365 m above sea level. NN, the highest point on the district is the Bölle, near the wine press, at 391 m above sea level. NN. It is significantly higher than its neighboring villages. Reuderns Markung area is 283 ha.

Four brooks flow through Reudern, which also originate here: Marbach, Riedbach, Klingerbach and an unnamed tributary of the Talbach. The forests around Reudern mainly consist of red beech, oak and spruce.

The following cities and municipalities border Reudern, they are named starting in the north in a clockwise direction: Oberboihingen (3 km north), Lindorf (3 km north-east), Kirchheim unter Teck (5 km east), Dettingen unter Teck (7 km east Southeast) and Nürtingen (4 km west).

history

Reudern is first mentioned in a document in 1338 ( rowing ) and is a manorial clearing settlement in the western border area of ​​the noble Teck rule . Reudern probably came to the Counts of Württemberg in 1299 with the taciturn share of Nürtingen . It cannot be clearly established whether the place was uninhabited during the Thirty Years' War .

The first houses were on today's Reuderner Strasse (formerly Nürtinger Strasse) and Hülenbergstrasse, also known as Unterweiler. The oldest still existing house in Reudern is in Hülenbergstrasse.

In 1751 the people of Reudern built a new church after almost 200 years there was no chapel in the village - so there is no church to be seen in the picture by Andreas Kieser (see web links).

After a dispute with Nürtingen about the use of the Nürtinger wine press, a separate wine press was built in Reudern in 1817, which is still preserved.

On October 1, 1974, Reudern was incorporated into the city of Nürtingen.

The federal highway 297 from Tübingen to Schwäbisch Gmünd leads in a west-east direction directly through Reudern and divides the place in two halves. Reudern is directly connected to the A8 Stuttgart - Munich at junction (56) Kirchheim-Teck-West . At the level of the Landgasthof Linde, the district road 1250 branches off to Oberboihingen in a northerly direction from the B 297. Since February 2007 a new district road has been connecting Reudern directly with the Kirchheim-Nürtingen Clinic “Auf dem Säer” and the adjacent vocational schools. The Hahnweide glider airfield near Kirchheim unter Teck is 3 km away from Reudern , from which, however, only occasionally larger aircraft take off that cannot be assigned to passenger traffic. The nearest major airport is Stuttgart Airport, about 20 km away .

The VVS bus line 166 connects Reudern with Nürtingen and Kirchheim unter Teck and the local train stations .
