Zoff at the Hoover Academy is an American comedy film from 1984.

Palmer Woodrow is the son of a wealthy couple who are currently traveling. As he repeatedly fails to graduate from college, he is remotely informed that he will be denied any financial support in the future unless he finally successfully completes his academic training. The heavily indebted Eddie Keaton comes in handy. As he is on the run from loan shark Dice, Woodrow hires Eddie for $ 10,000 and a Porsche to graduate for him while he is on a skiing holiday in Europe . After several turmoil and mix-ups, Eddie finally confesses to the fraud and wins the heart of the wealthy Tracey Hoover.

Originally, Jim Carrey was supposed to play the role of Eddie Keaton . He was discovered by casting director Julie Seltzer and producer Richard Kraft while appearing in a comedy club. Originally was Danny Elfman provided as a composer.
The film opened in US theaters on May 18, 1984 and grossed over $ 4 million. In Germany the film has been available on VHS since December 12, 1986.
