SummerSlam 1999 was the twelfth annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view event from the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on August 22, 1999 from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The tagline was "An Out of Body Experience", in reference to Jesse "The Body" Ventura who was the Special Referee for the main event.
