"Lovebug"
Song

"Lovebug" is the second offical single by the American pop-rock band the Jonas Brothers that was released from their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, on September 30 2008.

Song information

The Jonas Brothers performed this song at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, where they had confirmed that it would be the next single. The Jonas Brothers had stated that this song was "musically different" and that it was "a bit of a risk" for them, containing a tap dancing track and featuring a mandolin. The Jonas Brothers wrote "Lovebug" during a break on Miley Cyrus's The Best of Both Worlds Tour.[1] Stating the film Juno and the Beatles as influences for the song.[1] When asked about the song's meaning, Nick stated that it was about falling in love again after heartbreak, with Joe adding that it was about "throwing any past inhibitions to the wind".[1]

Music video

The Jonas Brothers are currently filming a music video for this single. Kevin Jonas said that The Notebook was one of the inspirations for the video.[1]

Disney Channel will feature the world premiere of Jonas Brothers highly anticipated music video, "Lovebug," from their Platinum album, "A Little Bit Longer," on Sunday, October 19 (8:55 p.m., ET/PT). An exclusive look at the making of the video will also be presented throughout the evening (8:00- 9:00 p.m., ET/PT) during episodes of "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of Waverly Place."

Directed by Philip Andelman (who directed music videos for John Mayer and Demi Lovato), is a period piece that depicts the love story between a young woman and a soldier as he's preparing to deploy to war. Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas portray multiple characters, including members of a ballroom band. A sweeping dance number, vintage wardrobe and cars bring the Jonas Brothers’ vision to life. Camilla Belle ("10,000 BC") and Josh Boswell also star.
