Stanley "Stan" Hardy was an English professional football inside left who played in the Football League for Newcastle United.[1] He later managed Nottingham Forest.[2]
Personal life
Hardy served in the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers and the Machine Gun Corps during the First World War, rising to the rank of lieutenant.[3] He was discharged after being gassed on the Western Front.[2][3]
