Wilfried Puis

Wilfried Puis (born 18 February, 1943 in Oostende – died 21 October, 1981) was a Belgian football player. He played for R.S.C. Anderlecht and the Belgium. Puis was in the match Belgium-Netherlands in 1964 with 10 fellows from the Anderlecht team after the substitution of goalkeeper Delhasse by Jean Trappeniers. In total, he played 49 times for the national team between 1962 and 1975, starting in the second half of a 1-3 friendly defeat to Italy on May 13, 1962. Puis played in the 1970 World Cup. He also won the Belgian Golden Shoe in 1964 while playing for Anderlecht. In November 1971 Puis moved to rival Club Brugge. He eventually played with Lokeren.
