(1030) Vitja is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on May 25, 1924 by the Russian astronomer Vladimir Alexandrovich Albitsky at the Crimean Observatory in Simejis .
The asteroid is named after Viktor Zaslawski , a Russian war hero of World War II .
The orbit has a semi-major axis of 3.1211 astronomical units and an orbital eccentricity of 0.1189. Thus it moves at a distance of 2.7499 ( perihelion ) to 3.4923 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in 5.514 years around the sun . The orbit is inclined 14.785 ° to the ecliptic .
