(12410) Donald Duck is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 26, 1995 by amateur astronomers Piero Sicoli and Pierangelo Ghezzi at the Osservatorio Astronomico Sormano ( observatory code 587) near the village of Sormano in the province of Como .
The asteroid was named on September 23, 2010 after the cartoon character Donald Duck , who came from the US Disney studio .
