(13351) Zibeline is an asteroid of the main outer belt discovered on September 20, 1998 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile .

The asteroid was named on May 23, 2005 after the sable (Martes zibellina) , a species of marten that was almost extinct at the beginning of the 20th century because of the valuable sable fur and the resulting excessive hunting.
