(2228) Soyuz-Apollo ( 1977 OH ; 1933 SK 1 ; 1952 DT 1 ; 1963 DD ; 1973 YN 3 ) is an asteroid of the outer main belt , which was discovered on July 19, 1977 by the Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095) was discovered. The asteroid belongs to the Themis family, a group of asteroids named after (24) Themis .
designation
(2228) Soyuz-Apollo was named after the Apollo-Soyuz-Test-Project carried out in 1975 - the first US-American - Soviet space cooperation.
