(2571) Geisei is an asteroid of the main belt , on 23 October 1981 by the Japanese astronomer Tsutomu Seki at Geisei Observatory was discovered.
It was named after the location of the observatory where it was discovered, the village of Geisei in the Kōchi prefecture .
