(36235) Sergebaudo is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on November 1, 1999 by the Czech astronomer Lenka Kotková (at that time still under her birth name Lenka Šarounová ) at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) in Ondřejov u Prahy .
The asteroid belongs to the Maria family, a group of asteroids named after (170) Maria .
The celestial body was named on March 6, 2004 after the French conductor Serge Baudo (* 1927), who enjoyed several years of success at the Aix-en-Provence Music Festival and has been music director of the Prague Symphony Orchestra since 2001 .
