(4121) Carlin is a main belt asteroid that was discovered on May 2, 1986 as part of the International Near-Earth Asteroid Survey from the Palomar Observatory .
The asteroid was named by the American astronomer Steve Singer-Brewster after his daughter Carlin Singer-Brewster , on the occasion of her seventh birthday.
